The tourism industry in Las Vegas is booming, thanks in large part to Las Vegas hotels and casinos that have provided all manner of incentives for new visitors and returning vacationing families and couples to visit the Las Vegas area again and again, whether for the purposes of honeymooners, vacations or even trips to play poker games or compete in the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas. With the available Las Vegas attractions and Las Vegas shows that bring in so many new visitors to the area, it is easy to see why so many people flock to the Las Vegas area for holidays and vacations. Spending time in the gambling mecca in the Nevada desert is an absolute blast, even for those who do not gamble. Tremendous hotels and casinos provide all manner of upscale amenities including lavish and over the top swimming pools that take up acres of property, lazy rivers that float the Las Vegas visitor down stream on an inner tube, and the tremendously popular Las Vegas night life, with dancing girls and all manner of never ending, all night long parties. While Las Vegas has always attracted a great deal of visitors, in recent years it has escalated to the point of extremes.
Considering the negative effect that the 9/11 bombings had on many people and many industries, Las Vegas is the one area that was generally unaffected by not only the 9/11 bombings but other economic hardships, including recessions, depressions and other trials and tribulations throughout the history of the United States. While the rest of the nation was fighting against all manner of hardships and difficulty, Las Vegas was churning away, earning money left and right through gaming, gambling and the famous Las Vegas shows and attractions. No matter the State of the Union, Las Vegas continuously generates income for its residents and establishments, providing jobs for those who need them and a stronger economy for the families and individuals that live in the area. As the global economy improves, Las Vegas continues to boom and achieve critical mass as one of the most famous vacation resort destinations in the world. Drawing vistors from all around the world will allow Las Vegas to take advantage of the burgeoning global economy that has so many nations exploding into emerging economies, ripe to be exploited in Las Vegas climb to the top of the resort destination hill.
