Oscar De La Hoya vs. Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao will be a Bout to Remember

The Vegas event many boxing fans have been eagerly waiting for is happening this week. The Golden Boy will battle one of the sport’s present finest fighters, Manny Pacquiao. This match is scheduled for Sat. December 6th in the MGM Grand in Sin City.

Surely there has been much talk in LV about this contest. De La Hoya has cut his weight down to 147 lbs. to fight as a welterweight, and there have been rumors that Oscar could not be as sturdy since the drop in weight. ”Pac-Man” Pacquiao has previously boxed one time as a lightweight and wants to compete from now on in the welterweight group. Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao is also the current lightweight champ , and is judged by many boxing experts to be the best fighter of these times.

This is Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya’s first excursion back to Sin City for a bout since he fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of 2007. This bout is no doubt a sell-out for the MGM Las Vegas. Tourists to Vegas have reduced lately, but Las Vegas events like this match really have a way of bringing fans to Las Vegas.

This boxing match will unquestionably be one people will be talking about for years to come as it puts together the two finest boxers of our time in a 12 round welterweight contest.
